Where Video Games and Gaming are concerned there is such an enormous selection of game types, systems and players that even those who do not yet play may get enticed with the strangely unusual sorts of games like Thief Deadly Shadows by EIDOS played on the old Xbox system. The game play and controls of Thief Deadly Shadows are very similar to other Xbox games, but the play style is very creative with movie quality clips set in old European style homes, towns, and villages. A rated M for mature (over the age of 17) has been established for violence, graphic colors, and language to some extent I presume and the over all nature of theft in general.

"Cry Brethren for the Betrayer has come. Your hands will be crippled and you will perish as the wretched outcast in the bleak unwritten and you will know the face of the Destroyer" a recovered text from the Propheticus missing for 132 years in Thief Deadly Shadows.

To begin the game you enter the first mission briefing. Set your difficulty level to easy, normal, hard, or expert modes and view your main objectives in the mission area. Check these objectives often as they will change as your game play advances.

The Gear area shows your arrows, tools, loot, quest items, and maps to keep you informed of your supplies and location. You will need to keep track of the arrows you have on hand mainly but checking in with your available tools and map locations will help throughout the game.

Your first mission is a training tutorial that will gain you extreme navigation and sneak skills. Following the blue footprints along the path will bring you through this quest. Don't try to attack anyone randomly on this mission, wait for the tutorial to direct you. Taking as many water arrows as you can carry will assist you greatly not only in this mission but in the next. The water arrows that you use on the first quest will replenish for the next. As long as you have around 25 arrows when you pick them up, you will have 25 arrows when you leave the first area even if you spend them all in training.

Upstairs in this first mission, as soon as you enter the side room the guard will not even see you anymore. No longer having the threat from a guard will get you extra loot, some are throwing items.

After training, game play begins with Garrett (you, the thief) walking through corridors, homes, city streets with a rather old London feel of dark, dingy, and a creepy sort of "Jack the Ripper" days ambiance. As you sneak around as the story unfolds, Garrett is just a thief as far as the player is aware. Later in the game, Garrett's stealing for the sake of stealing morphs into an investigation of sorts. Your curiosity as a player peaks as the Keepers fill you in on the prophecy (Garrett already knows this information and through narration, together, the Keepers and Garret let us as players in on it all).

Keepers are a magical society obsessed with books, writing, pages, and glyphs. These Keepers are central to the story line and involve Garrett in some interesting travels beginning in Garrett's home town of the South Quarter, a poor region of the realm.

Your second mission brings you into the South Quarter. Shooting a torch holding guard with a water arrow will put him on higher alert, but gives you the added bonus of more shadow and more stealth. Thumping guards with your black jack weapon will also help you get through this mission. Hit them from behind, then pick up and hide the bodies in the shadows. Use a water arrow to wash away the blood stains, this keeps the other NPC's (non player characters) at bay and does not send them into alert frenzies.

Retrieving your killing arrows that miss and stick into any wooden object will keep your arrow counts higher. Being a thief, you will need to hone your lock picking skills at your home. You begin with two practice locks and can purchase others later in the game in certain shops. Becoming adept at the lock picking skill and actually memorizing the positions of some of the easier locks will help you progress much faster.

Waiting and listening are two more of a thief's greatest asset skills. Tips that flash on the loading screens, conversations between NPC's, and added hints left unsaid by NPC's to Garret will assist you greatly in knowing things before Garrett acknowledges that you, as a player, know them. Locating secret passages and cubbies along your path is well worth your time, though you may not come by these very frequently.

Where does a thief go to sell his ill gotten gains? Why a "fence" of course! A dealer who knows how to sell your stolen swag. You will become friendly with a few of these people along the way but some fences only deal with certain types of goods. Generally, each will direct you to another if they do not bother with your particular item at the time, sending you on to meet a new fence.

The feature to change the difficulty for each mission selected is quite the useful assistant. Missions can actually last in real time up to and over 16 hours and saving "in mission" is another great feature to this incredible game and leaving an area does not necessarily mean that the enemies will respawn, a mission has many areas.

A very dark, both dimly lit and Medieval feel game full of information fed as a story style narrated by you, Garrett the Thief of Deadly Shadows. Keep your ears alive as in the narrative lies clues to help you gain your way to the truth of the game. "In the years, the seven great families have become neither great nor families".

Stealth, surprise, strategy, and trickery are the plan in Thief Deadly Shadows. If you master lock picking, sneaking in the shadows, patience, and aim, your video games and gaming Xbox experience will be great fun and an awesome challenge.

The Bards Tale - The Game, The Story, The Song

The Bards Tale is set in an old European land with castles, damsels, beasties, sorcerers, and song taking you on your quest for coin and cleavage. A one player, teen rated, top view, story based, high graphic video game full of snarky, campy humor.

The greatest of innuendo, alliteration, and jovial jostling is laid throughout the tale. The Bard and narrator banter back and forth between each other or there is the option of choice to be pleasant or a bit more pointed which is directed towards other NPC's (non player characters) you happen to encounter in the regions.

Begin your adventure with The Bard in a tavern called The Drunken Rat with a buxom barmaid who enlists your help in her cellar slaying rats! "All Hail The Bard, rodent bane and rat killer!" The tutorial downstairs will help get your entirely comfortable with the controls and is recommended highly.

Winning The Bards Tale without the very public cheats found at many of the Game Faqs style sites on the net can be a bit tricky, especially at the beginning if you take the wrong choices in your chosen sequence of events. Screaming "What is the combo cheat for the one hit kills?" and succumbing to the temptation may allow the enjoyment of a game, but it will leave you with the bitter knowledge that you did not actually win.

Your starting stats begin differently at each difficulty level and if you have never played without the use of even one cheat, I suggest going easy mode your first time out. There are normal and "olde school" modes as well. Concentrate on adding your given stat points to the strength, vitality, and rhythm sections first, these should be set in a higher priority to level than your other choices. Each stat like strength has a beginning setting to then build from; easy mode starts at 8, normal at 6, and olde school at 4. A stat is hardly even noticeable until is up around and over 10, so you can see what is so difficult beginning at olde school. With the stat levels to build on, you gain 12 additional stat points that you choose to place as you wish before the start of the game and get 2 each time you gain a level. The remaining stats are Luck, Dexterity, and Charisma. You will find tokens in game to help boost your levels in the areas you do not focus on.

Before you leave the Drunken Rat, be sure to talk to the band, it is a joy to be had, but don't linger too long as you have a friend awaiting your exit. The friend is an old man who bestows upon you a special amulet and a few adder stones which power said amulet which will heal and protect you in these early levels especially, but much needed later when you encounter some powerful bosses. Adder stones are replenished in certain enemy drops, found in chests, and you are given some by special NPC's. The majority of chests in The Bards Tale are actually tree stumps so keep your eyes pealed for the shorter ones.

Before the commencement of your campaign in search of coin and cleavage coursing the community of Houton, it would be in your felicitous future to first frolic off to the forest, the Houton Forest, to frighten and finish the free-lancing, formidable, and not so furry Trow. Getting used to the alliteration yet? Strewn randomly among the narratives, you will come to quite enjoy it.

Taking a swing by the Houton Jail in the Houton Forest to see what the Kunal Trow have to say is always entertaining, provided you get here before going to the Fairy Haunt Woods and speak to Bannafeet. Don't just talk to the guard once, it gets funnier as you converse with him, a real game treat. The end result of visiting these areas in a certain order will gain you much needed added experience accompanied by a little extra enjoyment.

Your next area to peruse should be the Fairy Haunt Woods. As you enter this woodsy sector, there will be a random hunter standing in the sunshine, speak to him. After you visit the shop in Houton and obtain your bow, hunt a few grouse and speak to this same hunter again, a secret area gets opened for you to rack up even more early experience (which, frankly, is when you need it most). After completion of both wooded areas, searching well for treasure filled stumps laden with goods, explore the town of Houton.

Visit the Blackhammer Smithy Shop to secure your ranged weapon and if a friendly dog crosses your path, be certain to reply in a friendly sort of way, you may have a friend for life and the Bard needs as many allies as he can get. Checking out the brochs (little homes) for swag and side quests will not only benefit you in experience points, but accumulate special tokens that while in your possession, add to your stat levels like increasing your luck or strength. There are a possible 25 different tokens to secure along the way, so keep a sharp eye for situations that could end with a token. Common sense will get you far in this realm, being pleasant where it is the social norm is advised, but feel free to take on the Bards endearing nature when you reply to many of your interactive toons in your travels. The choices are actually reversed when you encounter your "love" in Kirkwall, so be ready for that.

Talents are also quite the added help as you level. The Bard has the choice of one talent at the start of the game. Treasure Hunter will dramatically assist your requirement to fund your expedition. Choosing Critical Strike or another weapon specific Talent as your second pick like Dual Wield. Some of the other Talents to accrue are Dog Training, Two Handed Weapons, Flail, Shield Bash, and Power Shot, receiving one selection per four levels up.

Becoming adept at blocking, especially when you encounter the raging boar creatures, will keep your adder stones in your pocket longer playing without cheat combination codes. Saving often is always a "given", but certainly worth repeating here as you will be sorry to have forgotten this golden rule.

Taking multiple trips to the Blackhammer Smithy for new weapons and armor (and the must have treasure map) as you go in and out of the two forest areas to acquire more coin and experience will prepare you for the other towns you will venture off to. Some of these towns include Kirkwall, Finstown, Dounby, Neversdale, The Furlbolg Mines, Stromness, and Highland Park. Somewhere between the purchase of your armor and the acquisition of the treasure map is when you want to take on the Bugbear Cairn. You will not need to invest in an upgraded sword if you take a right upon first entering the Bugbear Cairn and locate an actual chest.

The Kirkwall meeting with Bodb is a journey in itself. React accordingly and you will reach your destination much more quickly. The Velvet Hammer is the shop in Kirkwall with a snooty sort of shop keeper who has a higher price tag on his goods than the Blackhammer Smithy did. If you only have coin for one item, let it be the Harp. This musical instrument let's you summon two assistants instead of having just one available and ready to help in a fight.

Each new tune you acquire summons a new personality type ally. Some assist in your battles, others replenish the Bards health or light your way. Experiment with having different tune personalities out in different areas, they seem to occasionally interact with other NPC's. In Kirwall, be sure to have the Mercenary out as you pass by any women, he can be a hilarious addition to the already humorous narrative.

Take the time to chat with and listen to any and all NPC's, it will fill you in on some of the happenings in and around town, opens up new quests for the Bard, and helps you on your way to becoming the Chosen One for Princess Caleigh.

On your trek through Highland Park, keep on the watch for a helper as he is a bit hidden in the trees. His name is Mel and can be a tad skiddish around the Trow. Stay focused and check his fear meter to be aware of the time limits. Encountering dead Chosen Ones as you course through your trails will benefit the Bard incredibly as they drop items of great worth and value to the completion of the game and remember that the save points are there for a reason, save often.

The Bard has a reward waiting in Finstown, be sure to converse with everyone in Kirkwall to open up this exciting and much needed area. You will come into Finns Farm and is your entry into main city of Finstown so be sure to rush right over there to gain what the Bard has coming to him. Essential coin and cleavage await the Bard here in Finstown.

Revisit any underground sectors when you have secured the upgraded Trap Finder. He will locate secret doors to treasure rooms curiously concealed crammed with copious counts of cache. All alliterations aside, the tips for defeating the tower guardians and navigating the towns are basic. Each tower needs a healer ally out and a strongman of sorts like the Body Guard or the Mercenary. If you can acquire the added instrument before entering the first tower, take out the Light Bee as well, he has an incredible amount of health and stuns the opponents for easy targeting.

As to not spoil the quest, the Bard is now on his own to complete his adventure with stat settings enough to do so in this aforementioned knowledge gained. With allies not much more helpful than his foes, you can begrudge the Bard his ill mannered ways and with the three selections to the finish, The Bards Tale has many jubilant hours of game play.

Thief Deadly Shadows rated M for Mature (age 17 and up) played on the XBox and PC.

First and second mission tips and other game tips for Thief Deadly Shadows can be found on our article above but here are some additional tips for easier leveling and game play:

You, no doubt, have noticed how easily enemies lie in the Video Games and Gaming Worlds. The narrative can be exceptionally taunting in Thief Deadly Shadows. Don't listen to the enemies :) They say things like "Come on out, we won't hurt you" lol Yes they will!

Fire arrows are collected in flame pits and other "hot" areas.

It takes 2 arrows to drop an alert guard but only one for a guard just patrolling.

Read all the journal guides on your missions. They give you much needed tips to help on your quests.

Be sure to cover all ground before moving along, completing each step or you will find yourself backtracking into each area multiple times. Although this can gain you additional experience, it gets monotonous :)

Missions can actually last (real time) over 16 hours, so the added save while "in mission" really is useful. Save regularly.

Lockpicking: Rotate your left thumb stick (clockwise or counter) until you feel a vibration (if you have this feature in your controller) or you will hear an audible "click". Keep your position and click the "A" button. Repeat the circular motion and "A" as many times as it takes to open the lock.

All locks of the same shape and color will open the same way so try to memorize the easier early locks, it will save much time. Practice on the lock sets at your home. You can obtain more later in the game from certain shops.

South Quarter is a poor region (also your where your home is) and Auldale is where the nobility live. Stone Market Plaza is the most dangerous of places. It houses many Hammer Guards and Pagans.

Turning off the standing candles can be done just by targeting them, but the wall torches, guard held torches, or fires need to be extinguished by a water arrow.

Pick up water arrows by looking in fountains.

Attacking regular townsfolk is ill advised as they will "story tell" helpful hints.

Wagon signs above shops with a red hand are seller shops for your loot.

Certain "fences" (dealers of your stolen property) will only deal in certain types of goods. Some items they will give premiums for but some items they will send you off to someone else to purchase.

To be able to differentiate between guards and other people look at the tabbards they are wearing (the shirt deals and markings on them).

The Pagans are real tough guys so don't let them hit you if you can help it :)

Throughout the game are some awesome graphical cut scenes of epic movie quality!

With no on screen map, you will need to pay closer attention to your given maps.

A feature to be able to change the difficulty levels from easy, normal, hard and expert modes is available for each individual mission :)

Not all doors with visible locks on them are actually locked.

Noise maker arrows are quite useful to send your enemies away if you get too many in striking distance.

Moss arrows are used to muffle noises like walking across metal or to shoot right at a rather loud or potentially loud guard or towns person.

I thought we would talk about this fun, clever game from Armor games called GemCraft!

An Armor Games creation for Video Games and Gaming! This is a flash based online game, totally strategy based tower defense game that is well worth your time to check out :)

You want some handy tips to get a "feel" before you begin, you say? OK :)

Begin the game with the mindset that you want to be able to "best" yourself on every level at least once (don't give it your all the first go round because you will want to complete each level at least twice, besting your own score, to get your score up and overall level higher).

To gain more points: from the scrolling bar (wave bar) to your upper left, click on the "next wave" to automatically send out the next enemies, this will increase your score immensely. Don't do this on fast mode unless you already have rank 4 gems in your towers.

You add gems to the towers already situated on the board and add towers as you go (best to add them toward the entrance to the enemies), these gems are your defense. Add the biggest rank gems to your tower as you can and trade the lower gems out as you go through the board, creating new gems along the way to annihilate the critter hoards.

Gem Bomb Tip: learn the "hot key" for the Gem Bombs in GemCraft and be sure to use these drag and drop style bombs frequently. reading the handy tips on the game along the way will help dramatically, don't discount them :)

Placing the water trenches back to back to ensure the longest time slowed on the enemy and try to place them near your "gauntlet" of towers (many towers in a row).

Placement of towers is very important, place as many as you can in a row and in a focused striking area.

Spore the Game and Creature Creators

The Spore series of Creature Creators and the actual EA game take you through the wondrous adventure of a being from the cell stage to the space era. The civilizations, buildings, transportation choices, and scenery reflect the evolution of your creature along the way.

The complexity of the Spore video game program will stagger the mind, the graphics will entice the senses, and ease of play will astound even the newest video games and gaming player. The Creature Creator series alone would keep you mesmerized for hours at a time. Delving into the world of Spore in the main game will not only tap the unused portions of the brain, but instill a retention to the scientific verbiage and understanding of theory whether or not you buy into the theory of evolution.

The structure of this intense game will gain you a better idea of societies and civilizations as a whole just by playing. It teaches basic Sociology, points of Geology, History to some extent, Physics, and many more subtle lessons as you venture along through the worlds.

Coming up with some helpful tips for new players was quite an easy undertaking. While I left out the trial and error issues (for the most part) because they are part of the discovery of Spore, I wanted to list some rather important tips that I would have found useful before I began the game.

Beginning from the early creature directly following the cell stage, the list of Creature Creator Stages is as follows: Creature Creator for fully evolved creatures; The Tribal Outfitter; The Civilization Outfitter; and The Space Outfitter. These Creations will be used by the computer (depending on which stage you are in): The Cell Stage; Creature Stage; Tribal Stage; The Civilization Stage; or Space Stage.

The Cell Stage: Starts with the beginning of your Planet choice (at this time, omnivorous feeding is not yet a choice) You must work for an omnivorous mouth and it is the most challenging of the three: Omnivorous; Carnivorous; and Herbivorous. Your creature floats around eating plant cells (herbivore) and meat cells (carnivore) and calls their mates to follow sonic waves to find them to mate.

Choosing Your Theme: Choose "No Theme" for a random generation. Creations you have made on the Creature Creators will be randomly generated into the game at different intervals :) Your creations ... in game!

A Tip: Going to the Creature Creator Section to create a "Space" something will automatically unlock that section of the game, but we do suggest going from Stage to Stage as you develop. Each Zone Creation that you make will allow access into said zone. Remember that each stage unlocks different things in the latter stages and the Creature and Cell Stages are the only two where you can actually customize your creations body.

The eating process gains you cell points to evolve into a larger creature. As you get bigger the dangers to you also increase. It is survival of the fittest really here and you can destroy other creatures for their cell parts. This will be how you attain the role of omnivore if you wish. I did find the spit poison cell part to be a bit overrated but if this is an option for you, use it until you can find another part.

So what happens when your creature gets destroyed or eaten? You just go back to wherever you last evolved from. You can also check this periodically by viewing your History. While checking this area, you are completely safe from enemies.

Tips for the Omnivorous Mouth: If you are trying for an omnivorous adventure here at Spore, either attain the omnivorous mouth (proboscis) while still in the water (Cell Stage) or keep switching between carnivorous and herbivorous mouths so you would stay in keeping with an omnivorous style of feeding, evening out your eating habits. Stay in the blue on your feeding bar.

Perks: Different Stage perks that being either an omnivore, herbivore, or carnivore are exciting. The first perks you receive are: Siren Song for the herbivore's; Summon Flock for the omnivore's; and Raging Roar for the carnivore's.

When you are on the road to a sentient being, you can now think and have a pack of creatures. I recommend keeping with a pack of your own kind as you will know better who they are and what they are likely to do.

Along the way you are unlocking parts and evolving your creature. Once you emerge from the water, the new, strange, wonderful world of the Spore video games and gaming series unfolds, with the race to evolve being first on your agenda.

Morrowind from the Socucius House - Census Office

If you are planning to be a theif in Morrowind, now is the time to start your career. There is even a lockpick on the table next to the candlestick to unlock the chest on the bottom of the bookshelf. Warning: Not every theivery will be this easy ... this is a gimmee, a big gimmee but worth over 400 gold.

At this point, either continue on if you are enjoying your character, or start a new game to discover other classes, races and venues of play.

Resting is an important action to take, especially when your fatigue bar changes from green to black. If you are entering an enemy area, rest before you start to engage. In town though, don't worry about your fatigue bar.

Immediately when leaving the census office, find a wood elf named Fargoth and give him the ring from the barrel found earlier in the census office. This will get you better prices in the census office here at Seyda Neen (a squat town along the southern coast).

Sell the booty acquired in the census office and purchase the best equipment you can afford, even if it is just one weapon. Spells are available but pricey in Seyda Neen.

Speak with all NPC's (non player characters) as they may have tips on certain side quests.

The main quest begins after you to talk to a main NPC in Balmora (south western estuary trade city. Be certain to Save at this point.

Either play out as this character or change up and try it as a different one to get used to the game play at Morrowind.

Choosing your birth sign is going to be important if you are choosing to be a theif or a mage, but it is self explanatory.

Running increases your athletic skill.

Jumping increases acrobatic skill. Caution: Don't jump too high as you can get hurt or possibly die :)

Sneaking increases that skill.

Fighting in your armor will increases that type of armor skill ( light, medium, or heavy).

Using any type of spell will increase that type of spell proficiency.

The hardest skills to level up are mercantile and speech craft. I suggest you visit a trainer located at various sites around Morrowind. Spend some money and remember that certain trainers can only level your skill up to a certain point. No trainer can level up a skill higher than its governing attribute.

To find out which attribute governs which skill, highlight the skill that you want and press the info button.

Books also level your skills up as you read them. Caution: Be careful not to hit the action (A) button twice because you will end up stealing the book instead of reading it and get in trouble :)

Stealing is an option of play that is extremely difficult to pull off unless you are a thief and have the right spells.

Be sure if you are going to attack someone in town that you allow them to attack you first. Just pull out your weapon, then they will attack, it is now not a crime against you :)

After you go to Balmora, go and join the Mages Guild. This will give you a fast travel point to key towns :) You can also get the "Mark" and "recall" spells much easier this way, it will cut your travel time immensely.

Silt Striders and boats are also fast travel for a fee.

The home of some of the “Elite” of Ogre Island, Southern Vale calls the adventurous to its towns walkways. Equipped with a full service bank; potion vendor; arrow and warlock vendors; rose bushes, grape vines, blueberry bushes, and a pumpkin patch; stoves and a cooking fire; with easy access to Myer Falls; plenty of enemies to enhance your excitement; and a short (but treacherous) excursion to the south to Dragon Vale or to the north west towards Mhorinia.

Travel outside the gate and a bit north to the Werewolf Lair or to the east into the Rover and Worm laden Wastelands where the Wizard Tower, Worm Lair, Thak Kaar, and Lome await hungrily your visit :)

A peek into Southern Vale is an easy goal to achieve. Step into the free warp hut located in Underleaf and arrive safely in the beautiful town of Southern Vale. Keep in mind that both Underleaf and Southern Vale are PVP (player vs. player) towns where unsuspecting noobers have been known to wander across a major pwnage player. No worries if you die though, you just end up back at the town you attuned your life force to via the numerous life stones on the island.

*Here’s a tip: When you take the free warp back to Underleaf (recall a PVP area) if you survived death in Southern Vale and do not wish to die when you get into Underleaf, take your warp key and step into the nearby warp hut to go someplace safe :) Many major high veterans of Ogre Island also call Underleaf home :)

Rebirth Ro is one of the free versions of Ragnarok Online but by far the best. Chat features are useful but not as prevalent as some other MMORPGs. Meaning that the chat is not one of the biggest draws to this particular MMORPG, the actual game play is :) This can be a fast paced action, explore time quiet and cool game, or a healthy mix of quests, crazy fun, and friends.

Easy to get started once you download. This game takes about an hour to download (shorter or longer depending on your computer speed). This is a safe and fun game for all ages, still an MMORPG (massively multi player online role playing game) so there is always a risk of interacting with undesirables, but we did not run into any as we played.

With the set up, be sure to set your computer resolution to the closest setting to your own as possible (to figure out what your computer screen resolution is, right click on your main desktop and click properties, the info is listed here), full screen or windowed is personal preference and everything else is pretty much set up for you.

Start the game as a novice in both base and job level, talk to the introduction lady (if you do this twice, you will gain a base level :).

Follow the bridge and enter the training grounds. Talk to the receptionist, follow his instructions and he will then transport you to the training grounds. where there are several people you will want to speak to. First talk to the interface tutor who teaches you about the screen and how to manipulate efficient game play (highly recommended). Speak to the items girl in the upper right hand corner. Pay close and real attention to the items girl and do what she says as she says it (this is very important, don't listen and click through and then do what she says :)this following will benefit you greatly. Visit the skills tutor on the left, follow his instuction, and go through the blue portal on the left. Here you will find a helper who explains the finer points of combat. Speak to the guy at the other counter and he will send you to combat training :)

In the combat training area, stay in this area until you are at or over base level 35 (great suggestion, not required) and distribute your points accordingly. Pick up many items along the way but keep your weight limit around half full. These items can sold later at the vendor shop (money is a necessary thing:) There are also options here for stronger monsters in this combat training area whenever you are ready.

After training, head across the bridge to converse with the next NPC (non player character)standing by a door who will transport you to the next room. Talk to the guy on the upper left first as he will you in on all the classes you can choose from. This will help in your future game play tremendously, so listen in and choose wisely :) Speak to the counter guy and take the personality test, given your results, either choose your own class or the one decided for you by the test. You will then be warped to the town of that class and give you special items :)

The game has you go on a quest from the spot or town that the class is trained, but there are options :) Type @go 0 (@gospacezero) into the text chat area and get wisked to the town of Prontera where the job master lives. There is always a gathering of players here where you can find a healer, Warpra, and the shop to sell and buy items. Talk to the job master and he can instantly give you any class you want. We recommend avoiding the Ninja and Gunslinger at first as they will us any future class options. There is not an upgraded version of these but every other class has an upgrade. If chosen, the Ninja and Gunslinger might be a better second character choice.

This is a great start for an awesome MMORPG. Very "Final Fantasy Tactics" graphics :)

Elf City Ogre Island

One of the newer cities, Elf City, located in Ogre Island, the MMORPG for the masses and more, is the ideal location for the carpenter, boyer, tailor, cook, alchemist or herbalist. There are tree houses situated throughout Elf City and ladders to reach the elevated wooden walkway. 2 mystery trees housing a blue and gold crystal inside are yet to be known what these crystals will be able to do. Rose bushes are spotted along the East trail toward the Master Trainer as well as some well placed Orc Militia and Imps. Go South to the town of Noradaar Fortress to the free warp to Under Leaf or venture North to the Cave of the Undead.

At present, no player homes have been built in Elf City. No word yet whether there will ever be but the amount of pine and oak trees scattered about Elf City makes this Woodly the Sawdust Taco's Dream city (even though Woodly is a Dwarf :)

Crystal Cove is one of the newer towns of Ogre Island. Crystal Cove is a quiet town (for now) with the attractions for lumberjacks in the stands of oak and pine, boyer tables, and carpentry tables. Alchemy specialists, herbalists, fishermen, cooks, and tailors alike will enjoy the serenity of Crystal Cove.

Shenmue 2 is a one player XBox only game rated T for Teen. A sequel to Shenmue on Sega genesis. Ryo is your main character, Japan goes to China.

The coolest Confucius Style Yoda Tai Chi questions are asked of you as you venture and ask around of certain people.

When speaking to the fortune tellers, don't pay for services right away. Talk first and if they provide useful information, then pay for service if you wish to.

Be careful not to make an excessive amount of money early in the game, at least until after the "situation" happens.

Get the chance to arm wrestle and if you win, you gain some good information and ten dollars.

Spend all (or as much as you can) of your money in the shop with the gotcha boxes by the fountain in the square. These capsule toys can be sold at pawn shops later to acquire money as collections or singles. Each pawn shop has different prices, so shop or sell around. When a shop runs out of merchandise, leave it and come right back, their stocks will be refilled.

Everyone in the first half of the game will know Joy, a girl on a motorcycle you run into (rather, who runs into you).

Look for certain photo opportunities (hit the black button to take photo) and find out more in the snapshots section (shots viewer in main menu) of the video game Shenmue Collection (one of the fun Easter Eggs).

Time is relevant. At 11pm you must return back to your hotel and different things happen at different times of the day in the areas.

Quick action chase sequences come with maneuvers you need to land quickly. Click in a timely fashion. Fight sequences as well require a quick action response time.

When staying at the Come Over Guest House, get a job through Joy to make money in Aberdeen, then head to Wan Chai for pawn shops to get extra money by selling your items purchased in the shop by the fountain in the square. You can stay no, pay later at the Come Over Guest House if you mention Joys name.

Spurts of fast paced action and slower relaxing Movie Style animation.

In your Shenmue Collection, is a holding area of things that you have unlocked during the game. Customize your moves for the battle. It's a place to practice things you have unlocked already but need to practice. You don't get to keep the money you get in the Shenmue Collection area though.

A quick time action button just comes up in some fights and you need to hit buttons in the correct sequence quickly or face the consequences.

Digest Movie will play the Movie feature of the first Shenmue Video Game to learn the history of Shenmue.

Access your journal from the X button. It will list all of the important information you have gathered so far.

The base of the game Shenmue 2 is to find the man who killed your father. Quest throughout Hong Kong and surrounding China area. The completion time for Shenmue 2 is more than nine hours at best. The game doesn't have much in the way of variables, so game play game after game always stays relatively the same.

The PVP areas at Ogre Island are in Underleaf (UL) and Southern Vale. There are many Arenas as well scattered throughout Ogre Island and you can find a listing of the coordinates for these Arenas at VideoGamesandGaming.wordpress.com, but some are located in Noradaar Fortress, Pangia, Binx and possibly Grimwald Hold (still checking this one out :)

For Ogre Island one of the best things you can do if you are a melee weapon fighter is to acquire the parry skill. It takes a while to do a greater good but what a difference.

With the basic controls and advanced controls it is best to learn these quickly in order to survive. Stay in the training type areas until you are quite comfortable and then forge ahead. Kingdom Under Fire Heroes is set in Medieval Times in an alternate past or universe and placed on the continent of Bersia. Multiplayer is not Hot Seat, XBox Live and system link only needing two separate XBoxes, two copies of the game, and two televisions (no worries in todays world huh? lol)

Single player (the "meat" is in the single player game) secondary menu, new game, continue, and custom game. Whats That?

Come to a blank picture screen that says create a troop, select a hero from the game, any hero from Heroes or Crusaders Kingdom Under Fire Games.

The main game storyline is basic control of parts of a war that is going on. Choose characters and create troops.

Find out more about Advanced Troop Use, Magic Use, Archer Use, Support Troop Use, Troop Building, Equipment and Buying of Mercenaries, and Hero Use like Ellen, Walter, Rupert, Lienhart, Cirith, Morene, and Urukubarr. My personal hero favorite is Leinhart who controls Orcs and dark Elves in his Infantry, Archers, Technicians, Axe men, Calvary, Calvary Archers, and support Troops. Manage a Troop by selection, remember that only Humans can do Every Job!

Specialist Elemental Troops of Earth Golem, Ice Maiden, Thunder Rhino, and Flame Wraith that require a very high level troop leader to possess. Troop leaders are separate in management from the troop itself. The troop leader is the one who governs what the troop can do by gaining certain skills.

The main character of the game, start with Ellen, progress to Walter, Rupert, Lienhart, Cirith, Morene, and Urukubarr. These main characters reflect difficulty level from low to high. Each goes through the same exact story but from different vantage points, much like Geoffrey Chaucer's "Nights Tale".

Each main character also only leads Infantry but are allowed the best Infantry earliest in the game.

Before you are a given a mission you are given a small map and a detailed mission briefing. Choose Troops and you're off. Either destroy the enemy's entire troop or the troop leader. Distinguishing which is the leader is not always easy. Sometimes the leader looks like regular troops and sometimes there isn't a leader at all.

Lego Star Wars is rated E for everyone, so this is one you can play with your kids with no troubles. The game overview starts with a need to have a base knowledge of the movies, memorizing moves, and knowing which characters can do what.

From light saber fighting, blaster fighting, and the old stand by turn tail and run fighting, which is a necessity in parts of the game with certain chosen characters. Learning how to switch characters "on the fly" will come in handy during game play here.

With different characters comes different abilities. Jar Jar can jump pretty high, while Anakins fighting style with the light saber is great, and Queen Amidala is quite the shot with the blasters.

Getting studs, fixing broken Lego things, and Force Powers are all part of the fun with Lego Star Wars with the choice of team play, story mode, and free play modes.

Heres A Short List of some Movie Games that I found to be entertaining:

Nemo with the just keep swimming, switch up between Marlin, Nemo, and Dorry and the interaction with all the Movie Characters.

Willy Wonka collecting candy (points for leveling), fly on umbrellas, clues from Wonka, help Oompa Loompas, assist in the other characters getting taken, and sing songs.

The Incredibles is a one player game, play through the movie and enjoy.

Harry Potter with its spell mastery, spell combinations, and working together with up to three players or single then having the computer act as the other players for you (much better with real second and third players, the computer isn't much of a help).

And then of course, there are many more "Movie Games to have fun with like Spiderman, Buffy, Alien, the list goes on and on but these are the ones I have played and recommend for you.

One of the great Movie Games available out there. I have another post for more on the Haunted Mansion Video Game, here is a quick link to that post here on Video Games and Gaming Blog

I have some more to write about one of the more challenging Movie Video Games, here we go.

Maybe covering some of the more challenging (and just plain "fun" rooms) will be a great place to start.

The Great Hall with 15 spirits available to "capture" after the light switch is turned on. This is a great room to get comfortable in, jump around and figure out the controls.

The Foyer with its 15 spirits to catch after the lights are turned on is a bit tricky. Look to the art work for help here. The first "save" spot is located in the Foyer, Look for the Grandfather Clock to save.

In The Conservatory, the books and music are your guides here. You will get quite adept at jumping in this room. The books will guide you to each instrument, one at a time. There are 20 spirits here to capture to power up your lantern. Oh! Did I forget to tell you what the spirits and lantern are for? LOL You are given a lantern and short explanation in the beginning of the game, which you fill up with caught spirits after you "defeat" the rooms puzzle and turn on the light. Then, you go "hunt" the spirits out of their hiding spaces (anything in the room that you go near that then "shakes" is a hiding space when the lights are on for the hiding spirits).

On to the Game Room and the 20 additional spirits you will power your lantern with here. Ahhhhhh, the pool table, jump onto it and have a ball :) Safety tip, if you jump along the edges, the bad spirits come and you will need to blast them, and you can fall off and die, yikes.

The Kitchen comes next. Breaking bottles with the flying dishes is your mission here. You must get them all to turn on the light, jump about and let the dishes fly as you "aim" them to hit the bottles all around the room. Once you get the lights on, find the 20 spirits here to add to your lantern collection.

The Maids Room with the moving walls was a challenge for me. The object is to find the exits while moving fast through the rooms as the walls change and move...(a lot going on here) just look for the door knobs and stop in front of the knobs and open the door. Sounds easier than it is really, but keep searching for the knobs and you will find the last room and be out to then collect your 10 spirits. What! only 10? Thats what I said too lol.

Dining in the Dining Room (I jump on the table until I smash all the plates off, too fun) but the object here is to get the candles to light your way and then capture the 20 spirits contained in this room.

With the wind and webs in the Ballroom, this one is a bit on tricky side. You will need the help of the spiders here to get you to the front of the Ballroom for your chance at the 20 spirits available here.

The 15 spirits that you will find in the Winter Garden after you get through the fallout floor and the puzzler of fountains and fire to turn on the main illuminations.

The Graveyard is then the next in a line of challenging levels to complete with a whopping 25 spirits (what do you think that number will gain you in power with the lantern jolts?). Yes, you guessed it, The Grim Grinning Ghosts and their harmonizing tunes are the puzzle quest here. Once you get it, remember that the Grave Yard is a huge area to locate the hidden spirits.

In the Mausoleum (this will appear after you complete the Graveyard mission), You are on your own for a full 3 minutes, so be certain to "Save" at your nearest Grandfather Clock before entering the Mausoleum for your 25 spirit collection. Tip, jump off the cliff to get out.

The Pantry housing its 20 spirits to add to the lanterns power, is all about adjust the pictures, alternate dimensions, and a race against time. Have fun in here, I did.

The Trophy Room was certainly one of the most challenging rooms at first, don't let the fire bolts throw you, fire creates light when placed on a candelabra, find them and stay behing the shields (again, easier said than done, but you can do it) to then turn the lights on and find the 25 spirits needed here.

Between some room completions, you will also encounter some other spirits materializing in the beaten rooms as you go along. Speak to these spirits and return your death certificates that you have acquired and receive soul gems which super power your lantern.

The Toy Rooms chest is your next puzzler, don't just jump right in, check out the room first before heading straight over to the chest. The 15 spirits you need to collect will not be in the chest but in the room after the chest puzzle is complete. Balls and Balance and Building Up Some Rolling Steam is what you need to accomplish here. Tip, you can still "jump" while aboard a marble.

This leaves the Study (with the rugs and furniture movements), the Sun Room (Mirrors and Reflections), the Sitting Room, no sitting here, you will need to chase the light switch, and the Museum and its chess board maze and knights, these rooms are just fun and a bit of a challenge.

Being a "Rat" following the mice with the "Reaper" chasing you after you go into the closet of the Childrens Room, the best advice here is to Run! to gain your 15 spirits additions when you conquer this room.

The Parlor is much like the Study only with rugs and walls instead of furniture to gain your 10 spirits in the Parlor.

The Gallery paintings and its potential 15 spirits is a rather easy nut to crack if you don't like the color red for the picture frames.

With the Observatory and its moon jumps, 10 spirits, and cranks and the Attic with more spirits and cranks coming your way, the last puzzler is in the Foyer (Did you notice that you couldn't complete that one before?).

And now, we say Goodbye for a time to The Haunted Mansion, great fun in a Movie Game.

On beginning your journey through The Bards Tale, you have access to Houton, Houton Forest, and the Fairy Haunt Woods. The Bugbear Cairn will open up to you after you chat with a man named Darraud. You will find people inside their brochs, roaming around the town of Houton, and you can interact with some of them.

First tip: Save often

In the Houton and Fairy Haunt Woods you will find grouse to hunt if you obtain a bow. Speak to the hunter in Fairy Haunt Woods for more on hunting grouse and a surprise area will open up for you.

Equipment, Tune, Talent, Token, and Song lists are all housed in your log area, so anytime during play click the "back" button.

Killing Trow, Wolves, Tree Ents, Druids, and the like, they drop snowglobes, wanted posters, picnic baskets, clothing, weapons, wolf skins, silver, old bones, herbs, etc. and automatically get converted for you into money! Never get too full or overloaded playing The Bards Tale. Even when you purchase a new weapon at any store in any town, the less damage dealing or less powerful weapon, Armour, or instrument will be converted into money for you as well.

Speaking of the stores, be certain to find them early on as soon as you can upon entering any given city. The shopkeepers are a treat, take the time to listen into their explanations and descriptions for their wares :)

Let's venture into the towns and the characters we will meet in some of them. With Kirkwall and the Bobve's (sp?lol), The Extra Maps with the Ruins, Cairns, and Grounds, The Bugbear Cairn and Old Man Vintners in Houghton, Kettleswart in the Fairy Haunt Woods, Bannafeet in Houton Woods, Your Reward in Finstown (be sure to hurry here to get it, it is Great!), Neversdale and the Kunal Trow, and the Furlbolg Mines and the Furlbolgs (they are so pleasant:).

The endings change as you choose, having three possibles to go through the game multiple times. All snarky (short, billergent, smart a## lol), all pleasant, a little of both, all of these choices effect the outcomes in various places throughout the game. I always go with a little of both, this will help in obtaining as many of the "Tokens" as possible throughout the game.

This is a fun, entertaining, challenging (set it to more than "easy":), barrel of laughs sort of RPG and I know we and many fans are looking forward to more series filled with The Bard and his Tales :)

" Designer Peter Molyneux guides us on yet another journey through the world of Fable 2, focusing on character and environmental customization.

At a recent Microsoft press event, we caught another glimpse of Fable 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2004 Xbox action role-playing game. As it happens, our time with the game was spent--and guided--by none other than Lionhead designer Peter Molyneux. Unlike his last few presentations, this demo didn't have a particular theme to it, such as dogs or co-op gameplay. Instead, Molyneux went on about all sorts of features that players can expect to see when the game is released this autumn, including facial expressions, changing environments, and even a bit of bird poop.

The designer began by letting us know that Lionhead Studios has finally reached the point where the development team has stopped adding features to the game. Now, the team is focusing on fixing bugs and adding polish. This was evident in the game's visuals: Because we were seeing an early version of the game, the graphics seemed a bit choppy in certain spots, but those rough patches were overshadowed by hitch-free moments that led us to believe the game will wind up looking really good. The art style is very similar to that of the previous game, but now, cities and outdoor environments look far more detailed and vibrant.

Once Molyneux went over the basic details, the designer began the demo with the game's introductory sequence. In a tongue-in-cheek style, indicative of the game's somewhat humorous tone, this cinematic begins with a bird soaring over your home city of Bowerstone and ends with it perching on a ledge as it defecates right on your character. From here, we were introduced to the first of many companions who will guide you through the story: your sister. Through the game, you'll be accompanied by a series of companions who will travel with you through several chapters of the story. However, Molyneux was eager to suggest that you may not be required to pay even the slightest bit of attention to them as you play--it'll be completely up to you.

Soon after, Molyneux pointed out a key feature about Fable 2's interface: There's no longer any minimap to guide you around. This has been replaced by what's being referred to as a "breadcrumb trail," a glowing line on the ground that guides you to the next important scene. This trail brought us to a police officer who offered to give us a little work to help make his job easier. Because you and your sister begin the game as impoverished street urchins, you'll probably find this offer to be an intriguing one. The officer handed us five warrants for criminals being sought for arrest. From here, we had the option to find the fugitives and bring them back to the police for a little extra scratch or earn even more money by simply selling the warrants to the criminal fraternity, which essentially grants those thugs their freedom.

This was done to demonstrate what Molyneux is calling "dynamic regions." This little neighborhood in Bowerstone will be shaped by your choice in the situation. If you do the right thing by bringing the criminals in to justice, 10 or so game years down the line, this area will become a bustling haven for trade and shopping. If you side with the crooks, it will become a run-down ghetto filled with crime and vice. When players drop by your version of Bowerstone for a little co-op, Molyneux told us, they could wind up seeing an entirely different city from what they've shaped in their own stories.

Castlevania Curse of Darkness is a single player RPG (role playing game)for the XBox system. Probably best kept for the teenagers and up because of the enemies you will face, the terms "devil forging", "innocent devil" and there is that fact that you are in a Vampire game and Draculas castle.... :)

1476 Valachia...

Three years had passed since Draculas Curse came upon the land....

Scene one...

Hector (thats you) and Isaac (very bad) begin a discussion, rather heated and nasty as Isaac is the one who killed your wife Rosalie.

Hector starts his quest in the abandoned castle, first fight with the executioner is right off.

You acquire the double jump ability from the start of the game, one of my favorite moves, and unlike Isaac, who uses Devil forging for his personal gain, Hector has to regain his evil powers to defeat the game.

Location of area maps is important for the completion of the game and some maps are difficult to find.

Cyclops will turn you to stone if you get hit with his purple laser beam but don't step where the laser beam hits either because it will come right back up out of the ground and turn you to stone as well. A lot of jumping and double jumping helps here because the Cyclops is rather slow, keep in mind powerful though.

Dude Video Games First Person Shooters

Halo 2 is one of the most well known First Person Shooters. My mom did pretty well on Halo 2 but couldn't get past Operation Firewalk on Rainbow 6 Critical Hour. :) Now Doom 3 was more entertaining and it was easier to navigate. Halo 2 is quite possibly the funnest first person shooter either by yourself or with friends. Set in the future in space. Mission to destry the covenant Elite, then find Flood and have to fight them. Cooperative missions, team fighting, and Death matches.

Basic Halo 2 Weapons are pistols, plasma rifles, basic Army weapons, and alien technologies. Finding items is totally random, spend some time searching.

Rainbow 6 series has the same characters, different missions. Ding Chavez is the American Commander, Deiter Weber is the German Sniper, Eddie Price a British Assault Specialist, Louis Loiselle the French Assault.

With Doom 3 check everything in the PDA's for hints on finding the security codes, read and listen to everything. Try to stay loaded with your weapons always.

First person shooters are focus games for the new player and relaxing games as you get skilled in game play.

Some other First Person Shooters to investigate are Call of Duty, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, and Ghost Squad.

For real War Situations that actually happen try Call of Duty. It is rated highly and lots of fun.

Ghost Squad is not quite as challenging as Rainbow 6 but an awesome relax now sort of game.

Family Safety with MMORPGs

How to stay safe and have fun with your family playing and participating in any MMORPG (massively multi player online role playing game) along with some great tips and tricks as you go.

Using the chat features of these online games can save you from some direct weirdness with the stalkers or harassers. There is a chat feature on most games that allows you to ignore any certain player in game to not even see their chats.

Focusing on leveling up one player in the group at a time going from lowest to highest.

OgreIsland.com is a also a great online game. This one requires absolutely no download!

It is always a great start to have evyone create a specialty character for getting a group started from scratch. There are set ups and choices that don't necessarily work as a solo.

Creating your own clan for your new group is also a great idea to keep the weirdness away from your family fun only letting those join who you already know.

Finding an unpopular server, usually a non PVP server, (Player vs Player), will also get the entire party up and running smoothly and get the newer players feeling comfortable.

Who Ventured Forth Onto OgreIsland First?

The question of the ages, (Not really:) But an interesting story to be certain and one told best by Sensi.

I recently had the pleasure of hearing the recital first hand and found it fascinating. Sensi recounts his walking trek from Huntington to Binxonia with another incredible character named Sabine, almost naked, no horse, and no supplies. In comes McNugget, Vigo, and DG.

McNuggett was the designer of the map of Binx and DG created the other town maps.

The never ending saga continues at Ogre Island with many many new and exciting charaters, adventures, and stories. Fliping is a very gifted young player, Take a trip to Mysties with him if you dare :), You can often see one of the outstanding Smiths in Plymouth Warf (coords 2940-956) like Moridor creating items of Iron, Silver, Gold, and Titanium.

Other Ogre Island game experts have come and gone, reappear and disappear (with the help of Vagabond, the creators, Elvin Cloaks. Contests, Caves, Forests, and Wastelands meld together to complete the vision of the team at OI.

Last post was the beginning of what Video Games and Gaming can teach us.

Teaches you to play without looking at your controller which in turn will help you learn how to type correctly later in business class. Teaches you calm in overwhelming situations. Choose between a Human Warrior, Halfling Rogue, Dwarf Cleric, or an Elf Wizard. Find the Soul Shards to upgrade you Legendary Weapons. Pokemon

Pokemon is a monster training game and "Pokemon" means "pocket monsters".

Basically a game where you go around the world catching and training Pokemon.

Battling the Pokemon along the way and as long as you have acquired Pokeballs, you can catch different Pokemon so you can obtain all the different species of Pokemon.

You can find Chickoretta, Charmander, Squirttle, and Pidgey. These are some of the many that exist and grow up and level to bigger versions of that species.

A very fun and entertaining game that actually teaches memory recognition and increases your detail recall in my opinion.

Listen into the show on Thursday June 12th for some excellent tips on better game play.

Link, the hero of the Legend of Zelda Series Video Games is the hero of time. Spoken of in different prophecies and books, Link is pure of heart and on his 16th birthday when the mark appeared on the back of his left hand, chosen to be one to look after the courage TriForce. His homeland of Hyrule, Link has an important role is keeping the peace.

Links look is perfect and suits him well. His green clothes and hat match his little hero personality well.

Links parents had been killed in a war that took Hyrule by storm. Links mom took him to a nearby sheltered Kokiri Village before she died, and turned his care over to the Great Deku Tree. Being raised as a Kokiri, but really a Hylian, Link was the butt of being bullied because of Mido.

"The Youth Whose Destiny It Is To Lead Hyrule To The Path Of Justice and Truth" The Great Deku Tree

Links friend Saria is the only Kokiri that was really nice to him. Although throughout the game, Link does rely on other characters for advice.

Link uses bombs, boomerang, and a bow for defense, but his favorite weapon is his sword. Being a left hander his sword skill is brilliant. Solving puzzles and fighting his way through Hyrule against dangerous enemies to complete his quests.

Ganondorf Dragmire creates evil plans that Link has to try to stop.

The biggest tip I or anyone could give you is to read everything on OgreIsland.com before you actually create a character. Also, visiting Luy.50webs.com for an intense look at some additional instruction will give you a much greater chance to enjoy the gameplay, get involved in meaningful chat sessions, and actually survive this game.

If you don't have a feel for the game in advance, you may not be happy with the skill choices your character has, you won't really have a basis to decide which race, weapon and trade skills, or name you even want.

Let's start with your character name. Capitalize the first letter of your new characters name, but it is best not to put your whole name in caps and typing all in caps is just common sense for any chat room or forum. It comes across as you are shouting, and shouting isn't pleasant.

Get comfortable with clicking around and explore Ogre Island to discover things as you go along.

Start in the towns of Binxonia (Binx) or Plymouth Warf (PW). Under Leaf is one of the PVP (Player vs Player) towns and you might find yourself in a battle. You will want to level first. Binx and PW are quite large towns and will give you a great deal of room to roam and discover banks, potion vendors, homes, woodland creatures, dungeons, crypts, and mines.

Being friendly and courteous of other players is a must in any social situation and will make your time spent at Ogre Island great fun.

Requesting free items from high level players is never a good idea. They worked very hard to acquire the items they have. ...Now, that being said, they have been known "to lend a hand" from time to time. Don't beg and you might be one of the lucky ones that gets that helping hand. In order to stand out in Ogre Island present yourself as pleasant but keep in mind that the other players are also trying to have fun and actually play, so keep your questions to things you cannot readily find on this site or the others mentioned here.

Getting to level 4: With your chosen weapon, seek out the wildlife like deer, chickens, seagulls, crab, and squirrels. Or try to finish of an Imp or two. With your trade skill choice (sheep shearing, lumberjacking, mining, tool or weapon smithing to name a few), shear, chop wood, or mine your way to level 4. Or do a combination of the talents, but get to level 4 while you get familiar with the game.

When you "do away" with the local wildlife, items will appear in a floating chest above your dead. Click the item and then click again to drop it into your own chest to the right of the playscreen under character inventory. Be sure to do this quickly, as there may be more critters attacking you.

The more strength you have, the more weight you will be able to carry, endurance increases your natural stat restoration or how fast your HP, MP, and Stamina regenerate while you are standing still, dexterity increases your melee defenses, speed increases your attack speed slightly, intelligence allows you to learn spells from scrolls and use enchanted weapons spells, and magic allows you to cast certain level spells. So, put your focus points in HP first, then according to your skill choices.

Now what, I am at Level 4, I need money? Ok, you need money, this is how to get it: Go in and out of the noober dungeon in Plymouth Warf a few times. Sell your items that you pick up at any vendor by placing the item in the little box in the lower right hand corner (says Sell).

Get a horse to ride and a packy as soon as you can. It makes travel much faster and easier and it doubles your money making abilities allowing you to hold more vendor-able items between trips from the dungeon to the vendor.

Save, Save, Save for a 4c weapon of your choice or a 4c trade tool if you wish to specialize in the trades, but it is best to get the weapon first.

Weapon skills include sword which is encompasses all bladed weapons like Katana, short and long sword, Rapier, and the Kryss. Mace skill is self explanatory. Ax skill, also self explanatory. Then there are the ranged skills. Each ranged weapon has its own skill. The short bow, the long bow, and then the cross bows are all meshed together and you need to locate arrows for use. The spear skill, not really worth doing. The dagger skill, the fastest weapon skill in the game, but the least damage doing.

Armor choice, because you come into the game basically in an undershirt and pants, or without any Armor at all, you will need to purchase some Armor. Here are your choices: Mage Armor will be made yourself with the tailor skill or bought from other players for about 2k to approx. 80k (give or take what the player asks for, don't quote me:). Mage Armor is the weakest melee defense Armor but has excellent magic defense. Archer Armor is a bit more expensive than Mage Armor, but gives better melee defenses along with ok magic defense, but is the best Armor for someone who does not know exactly what skills they will have in the future. Metal Armor or Warrior Armor is heavy first of all, do not carry around needless pieces of this type of Armor because it will cause you to be weighed down and moving slow. This Armor is absolutely the most expensive but you can make it yourself with the Armor smith skill. This, along with the other Armor comes in many different types, each type granting better defenses than the previous starting with Iron. Moving to Silver, Gold, and then Titanium. Titanium grants interesting magic defense as well as insane melee defense but is quite costly and cumbersome.

Trade skills, please don't believe that they are not important because they will be later, just not early in the game so much unless you are a lumberjack to build your home, or a tailor to make your own Knick Mage Armor. As you play, think about what skills go together (like mining and smithing, shearing and tailor) and decide which trade skills you want to learn.

Once you level to 15, a whole new area opens up for you to explore safely, it's called Huntington (and the surrounding areas).

Print the map found on the community screen, it's the whose online visual map, it will help you immensely.

The Triforce in the Legend of Zelda Series is an intricate force in the game. The TriForce stays in the Sacred Realm of Hyrule. When the World was in chaos, the golden TriForce was left when and where the goddesses returned to the heavens.

Din, Nayru, and Favore are the goddesses. Nayru is the goddess of love, was the giver of spiritual law to the World of hyrule. Din, the goddess of power, used her flaming powerful arms to create the land. Flavore, the goddess of corage, created all of the life forms.

The Triforce became the basis of guidance for Hyrule.

One of the most recognized symbols of The Legend of Zelda, the TriForce is composed of 3 magic triangles combined to be the greatest power in all of Hyrule. The person who uses this force must be pure of heart or trouble will overwhelm the land.

If a person not pure of heart touches the TriForce, only the strongest part of him will remain, either courage, wisdom, or power.

The people destined to be appointed to guard the separate TriForces have the mark of the TriForce on the back of their hands.

In the Legend of Zelda Series, Hyrule was actually created by the golden goddesses Din, Nayru, and Farore.

Hyrule is a land full of incredibly lush forests, great mountains, plains, and deserts. The ones who live in Hyrule are called Hylians but running into other tribes and life will occur as well.

Hyrule and it's history have known it's share of battles and war, myths and prophecy, and many legends.Ruled by a monarchy, Hylian Royals are the ultimate rulers. There are other kingdoms and rulers of certain tribes and such, but the Royals are elite.

Strewn throughout the kingdom you will encounter various legendary treasures, dungeons and ancient treasures.

I am going to do a short review on the Disney Video Game The Haunted Mansion! I know, for the kids you think, but know.... they might need a bit of help from you, so.... it's really a great sit down with them and watch them play sort of game and help them figure out the thinky puzzles. It may be a one player game but it requires two brains :)

So, if you happen to have a second head growing out of your shoulder, you're good, if not, get your family together to sit down and figure out the puzzles together. Have a family Video Games and Gaming night.

Heres some tips... when looking for the spirits, check it again, then go back and check it some more. Tips for the book climb, of course don't fall off, but be very precise with your stepping, if you miss the center, you will need to start over, the book steps are quite sensitive. Tips for playing pool, it is just like playing 9 ball in real life on the pool table, up in number from 1 to 9. The pool player playing the game is actually aiming for you, so stand in front of the ball you want him to knock in, and move quickly just after he hits the cue ball.

Have fun with the various puzzles, get together with your family. Some puzzles seem to be geared for Dads, some for Moms, and some for the younger crowd :)

Released in 1993 by ID Software Company as a share ware game, The Doom Series even the creators expectations.

One of the first horror first person shooters, Doom is now a series.

Doom 1 we actually played originally on WebTV :)

Doom 2 was released for PC.

Then came Doom 3, the ultimate in the Doom Series, for XBox and some other gaming systems. Do not play this game in the dark! And, of course I do not recommend this for the younger crowd.

Now, they do give you a shotgun for a reason in this game, use it. The flashlight actually can be used as a weapon, not recommended, but definitely better than your fists if you run out of ammo.

Look for ammo everywhere and locate all the PDAs reading everything and listen to all the audios, the info is necessary to lead you in the right direction.

Quite possibly the ultimate fighting game in existence with hundreds of characters from the lowly Johnny Cage to the uber Goro. Games fighting system is simplistic and easy to figure out. Not necessarily a bad thing for certain it allows new players to start very quickly, get your stress out with this one.

Certain Mortal Kombat Games have a character creation system which allows custom characters and fighting styles. Armageddon is one of them. This is also a good way to healthily relieve your frustrations on other players. Play alone create a character that looks like someone you are mad at, and whip up on them!

The game play is relatively easy to get acquainted with and maneuver and the replay value is there as well.

This is an outstanding revelation! Video Games and Gaming in the keys for learning! Just what I think too! I believe that Video Games are key in learning, I have learned volumes from playing video games. Zelda Ocarina Of Time - It is one of the games where you actually age, where you go between being old and young during game play.

This is the "Classic Zelda" that everyone knows. Beat Gannondorf after you rescue the Princess Zelda. This is the second longest Zelda version and the most fun. Going backwards and forwards in time to accomplish certain things and this one gives you the option between three swords instead of two......I know what you are saying.... "There is no sword better than the Master Sword" .... But you are mistaken. You have not wielded a sword until you have wielded the two handed big Goron Sword!

This is one of the games that allows you the use of a horse for transportation that you call with a song and will come just about no matter where you are.

Very good nostalgic game....if you want to feel "Nostalgic" and "Old School", play Zelda Ocarina Of Time!

I just read an article in US News and World report on how Addiction to Video Games is a growing concern, Yikes! Get a grip! Everytime people start showing an interest in anything, be it reading, computer use, working, and now Video Games, they want to call it a "condition" or an "Addiction".

People like to cook and get cooking careers that take up a great deal of their time, some like to garden and so they are landscapers, well, guess what? You can become a professional gamer as well, be it an expert on the topic, a tester, or programmer, you too can make a living with Video Games and Gaming.

So, articles are what they, and some people take things to extremes, I say Get A Grip, Be able to tell the difference between reality and fantasy, and just have fun with yourself and Video Games and whatever else you choose to do with your life. Zelda Phantom Hourglass is an awesome game for the DS. The graphics are like Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker for the GameCube. The gameplay is totally done with the stylus and is brilliant. Movement, attacks, use of items, picking up and throwing stuff, talking to people, all done with the stylus, totally awesome game.

The story is much like every other Zelda, you are trying to rescue Princess Zelda. Though in this game she has changed her name to Tetra, but everyone knows who she is. Enter into a big group of islands and you do get to traverse the islands on a ship! Salvage treasures from the deep and all that.

Hours of original gameplay because of the amount of secrets to find.

Top First Person Shooter Games Are:

The Halo Series - The Halo Games are an incredible Sci-Fi Shooter. You alternate between two major characters. The main character is Master Chief, the best soldier in the human army, and the secondary character is one of the Covenant Officers who in Halo Two becomes their arbiter. The main thing that the Humans and the Covenant are fighting, the Covenant believes that the HALO Rings are a transporter to the promised land. But the humans have figured out that the HALO Rings are weapons to destroy The FLOOD. The FLOOD are mutant aliens that take over dead bodies and mutate them, they are twice as strong as Covenant and use Human weapons. At the end of HALO Two the Covenant and Humans band together to fight the FLOOD.

Doom Series - Being released in 1993, it was ID Softwares first First Person Shooter released on PC, then they came out with Doom 2 also released on PC but with much better graphics. I was introduced to this by playing on Web-TV in the 90's. The navigation and game play secrets are a bit challenging because of the onslaught of Hell-Spawn. It is a great game and fun, but caution: Do Not Play Doom 3 In The Dark, It is a bit intimidating and trippy. Not A Childrens Game :)

Rainbow Six - Play as an elite anti-terrorism task force. All Black Opps Missions. Fun, But challenging. Watch your grenades and throwing them. You can and do kill yourself with a misfired grenade. Sniping is great, wield a sniper rifle.

Other First Person Shooters Include:

Ghost Squad Series - Kind of like Rainbow Six, but not so specialized. In this game you control two teams of three, so more of a challenge as you are controlling six characters at once.

Half Life - Have not yet played this one, Heard it is awesome and will eventually go in my top list, but have not yet had the pleasure :)

Ogre Island is an outstanding free to play MMORPG! Get ready for adventure with trolls, hill giants, dragons, skeletons, zombies, imps, farm animals, and dungeons.

Start off with a choice of basic skills. Choose three different ones with choices like swordmanship, magic of all kinds, alchemy, and fishing.

As you continue through the wilderness meeting players, battling monsters, finding ancient tomes of wisdom be sure to keep a keen look out for some special players!

The most skilled player in the game though not the highest level (timetogonow) is a very intense and highly adept player.

(Wyverex) also known as Nail or Helper, he is an expert on Monsters and Leveling, also quite the knack for making money outside the player market, cha-ching.

Also (Vagabond) is THE CREATOR! If you find him on the map.... consider yourself blessed. He is the originator and freely hands out birthday cakes on your birthday and random items throughout the holidays like SANTA HATS!

Ogre Island is a brilliant free MMORPG! and well worth the time it takes to level up and then it is enjoy your time playing, making friends and conquering the island.

What a brain buster of a site this is! I just ran across it, but it has escaped my attention for quite some time ;)

It sites research from Stanford University that men find video games and gaming much more rewarding. Very interesting article by Sudip Ghosh, MD. Brilliance and intelectuals seem to flock to the study of the video games and gaming appeal.

I think in the studies, the play factor should happen by the Doctors more and they will relate even more! The height of play and the deeper into a game one ventures the change of intensity unfolds and the more the player connects. Brilliant and sustained research! Kudos to Stanford...

Sometimes we Video Games and Gaming Gamers, forget about the keeping healthy side of things. I have found that the best way to stay healthy is to drink water over other beverages, of course choose veggies over snack food that is toxic, but the best thing are the move it around Video Games! A Wii has many move it around, get off your butt games out there. XBox, GameCube, Playstation, Wii all have get off the couch and go games that will get your heart pumpin'! :)

Give Guitar Hero a try, or Dance Dance Revolution, Boxing, Baseball, American Idol (dance while you sing), Golf...you name it! Get off the couch every once and awhile and move! These games are Uber Fun too!
